Entertained friends in old house at Tarranlea Rd.  Neds friends had music practice in the house.

Died 12th June 1927 aged 51 of pneumonia

Family album - became popular in the 1860's.  This one was purchased in Australia.  The cover shows the Melbourne Law Courts.  Presented to Margaret by her step mother Mary Strettons in August 3 1887.  Many photos in this family album date back to the early 1860's

In 1905 living at the large weather board house on Salt Pans Rd were Daniel Snr (farmer), John, James, Margaret (housekeeper), Patrick and Thomas. (Daniel Junior was a blacksmith in Coleraine). They were on the Electoral Rolls in Coleraine.

1912, 1913, 1914, 1916, 1917, 1919, 1921, 1924 after Daniel (Snr) had died the farm at Salt Pans was shared by Edward (farmer) Coffee Palace and agent in 1927, John (farmer) RIP, Thomas (farmer) and James (farmer) RIP 1921 and home duties Margaret Kane (RIP 1927) . They were on the Electoral Rolls in Coleraine.

In the short space of 18 years the Kane family of 8 members residing at Salt Pans Rd in a large weatherboard house was reduced to 3 (Tom, Daniel and Ned). Daniel 1909 aged 70,Patrick 1909 age 28, John 1915 aged 41, James 1921 aged 47 and Margaret 1927 aged 51.

John Kane is not buried in Coleraine but Gallipoli.  He died July 29th 1915 aged 43 not 24th July 1916 aged 44.
