HIS WILL  His paddocks were left to Jack, Dad and Ballie when they reached 21

The plough furrows of James can still be seen today.  Ploughing longways caused erosion of the hills

THERE WAS A CORONERS INQUEST: (10am 1st April 1921)

Fair state of nutrition - right lung was collapsed - right side of the thorax was full of pus - the right side of the diaphragm had puss into the abdomen - the brain show some wasting. (My guess is it may have been an accident or a fall).

A pneumothorax is a collapsed lung. A pneumothorax occurs when air leaks into the space between your lung and chest wall. This air pushes on the outside of your lung and makes it collapse. Pneumothorax can be a complete lung collapse or a collapse of only a portion of the lung. Feb 28, 2019 Symptoms: Shortness of breath; Chest pain Risk Factors: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

A collapsed lung. This condition occurs when air leaks into the space between the lungs and chest wall. A blunt or penetrating chest injury, certain medical procedures or lung disease can cause a pneumothorax. Symptoms include shortness of breath. When a pneumothorax is large, a needle or tube is used to remove excess air.

James Kane left 300 pounds to his sister Margaret and the land was left to Grandpa's boys to be equally divided.

When the  eldest reached 21, ( Dad and Jack), the land 'was to be auctioned' or settled by 'private contract' and equally divided.  Grandpa would have been paying rental from 1921 to the estate of land left to his own sons. That explains the buying of the 37 Chev for the boys when they reached 21.
