CHARLES EVESTON WOOD CARTING 1930
Charles was advised to have a prostate operation which the doctors in Hamilton said would prolong his life by 10 years. He never really recovered from the operation. He came back to Coleraine but left again for Hamilton after a short time. On leaving he said - "Well goodbye old house". Mum, Dad and Brian flew to Hamilton to be with him in his last moments. Mum was sick all the way being a small plane at that time. On arrival Charles was already unconscious and died soon after. Fr. Conlon officiated at the funeral mass and graveyard.
