Mum's never fail soup

 

We all think our Mum makes the best soup.  Here's my mum's recipe which we grew up on and still is the one we like the most!

  • Boil a leg of shank or soup bones

  • Pour off fat excess

  • Add water

  • Add peal barley and split peas

  • Add shaved carrot and chopped celery

  • Add a packet of chicken noodle soup

  • Add onion and salt

  • Add some macaroni towards for the last half hour

  • Cook for 2 hours

  • Add a dash of Worchester sauce when served
